This is Mindi Schneider’s story. I met Mindi when I was the manager of the WFRN Christian radio sales staff back in the late 80’s in South Bend/Elkhart, Indiana. I had her tell her story on the radio one day when I was manager of KKIM Christian radio in Albuquerque. I know Mindi’s story will warm your heart. Mindi and her hubby Steve and children now live in Ohio, a strong family of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Here is Mindi’s story………
December 8th, 1970. It’s my Adoption day. My parents waited for a child. I remember mom telling me, “ they called and said we have a child for you… it’s a girl… is that ok? “ My parents went and got me. Before they left the adoption agency, my mom also told me that the lady said to the effect, “ Try her out and if you decide you don’t like her, you may bring her back.” Needless to say, my parents were never taking me back. Mom and Dad brought me home to a loving family with loving parents and a big brother. My birth mom, a loving Woman who loved Jesus more than life itself, gave me away for a better chance at life. God saved my life on earth. When I was 4, I chose to make Jesus my Savior and became a child in God’s family. At 19, when my life fell apart, I committed my life to Him to let Him take over and lead my life. God, my Father in Heaven saved me twice I say, once on earth to a loving family and the second time into His family. God also gave me the opportunity to meet my birth family and really know my birth mom for a few short years before Jesus called her home. I often think about both of my moms in Heaven discussing me. I’ve watched my dad become a believer in Christ and become an amazing man of God. My life has been forever changed both here on earth and for eternity. Happy Friday!!
