Arafat “Poisoning” Report Continues to Cause a Stir

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas ordered PA legal authorities to follow up on reports recently released by a team of Swiss forensic scientists which claimed there was significant, although not conclusive, evidence that the late Yasser Arafat was killed by poisoning with the radioactive agent polonium. “We are studying the report published by the Swiss scientists,” a PA official said. “The investigation into the case has never stopped.” However,AFP quoted Palestinian inquiry chief Tawfiq Tirawi as saying “Israel is the prime and only suspect in the case of Yasser Arafat’s assassination, and we will continue to carry out a thorough investigation to find out and confirm all the details and all elements of the case.” Read More
