Light Up Your World Today…

This morning I was reflecting on the love of our Father, Jesus Christ. He loved us enough to die for us. We meet people everyday that hasn’t even heard his name. We meet people that don’t know how to love as they were never taught. We meet people that loved deeply, but was wounded. Today, let’s pray for people. Jesus is all about people. Riches will come, riches will go, but God’s heart is all about people. Sprinkle some of His heart today, no matter where you journey.
Today being Valentine’s Day show people how valuable they are. Life has a way at times of making people believe they are no longer valuable. Young, middle aged and old alike, they sometimes begin to believe lies like they have nothing to contribute. Everyone has something this world needs, everyone. Decide today to reflect the heart of Jesus and sprinkle kindness and love everywhere you go. At the end of the day, tally up the results.
Give a smile, even when the person can’t smile back. Share a compliment, even when people have a hard time time to receive it. Encourage at least three people a day, every day. Listen, really listen when someone is speaking. You may be the only person that gave them the time today to listen. Decide you will be the person to make the difference, even if everyone else decides not to. Laugh often and share those laughs with others. Find some humor even in the most challenging circumstances.
If we have all the knowledge in the world but lack love and kindness, we really don’t have much at all. Sprinkle love and kindness everywhere you go and watch what comes back your way. Try it for yourself and you will see the difference in the people you serve and believe it will come back to you, for it surely will.
Father, thank you for the heart you have for mankind. Your heart is that none should perish. Oh God, we desire a heart like yours. Work in us, change us, mold us until our heart best reflects your heart, we pray. May the light in us burn brightly today and every day. Amen
