Good morning beautiful people. I know we are to rejoice with those who rejoice and Evangelist Billy Graham is rejoicing in the presence of God today. I weep for our world though as I never knew anyone that had the heart for evangelism like Dr. Billy Graham. He certainly was a man that walked with God and desired for the world to do so as well.
I have had the privilege of attending one of his meetings in Hartford, Ct in my earlier years. My brother Eldon had taken me. I remember during the service up on the balcony a sign was draped down with something negative written on it. The protesters were trying to disrupt the meeting, but it never happened. Dr. Billy Graham never missed a beat and they were escorted out. He preached with a voice and a heart that drew the attention of his audience. It was one meeting, I will never forget.
Many, many people gave their hearts to the Lord at that meeting. I remember people gathered at the front as they made the most important decision they would ever make in life. The decision to be a follower of Jesus Christ.
I have had the privilege to meet and interview W. Terry Whalin about the book he penned and published on the life of Dr. Billy Graham, America’s Greatest Evangelist. W. Terry Whalin, editor for the Decision Magazine is a family friend to the Graham family.
Today, I just need to ask you, where are you in your walk with God? Has your life been transformed? Are you a follower of Jesus? Do you want to make a decision today? He loves you and His desire is to journey life with you. Journeying with Jesus on the narrow path, there is no better way and there is no better time. We all come to the road of decision.
Matthew 7:14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.
Father, may many come through the small gate and the narrow road today. May they find their life in you, we pray. Amen
