Greetings Dear Readers of FGGAM as we go to the Devotion of The Day,
This is a good devotion for me, because I need to learn to listen more. I need to be trained more and more in the area of “knee-jerk” reactions. Friends, if we can come to the understanding that people are not trying to hurt us, we will never be the same! People are dealing with something that we / they just don’t know how to handle. YET!
The Good News is, God does! And, God loves us enough to Help us! Thank you Jesus! If I get this, I will personally never be the same! I hope this is a blessing to you too!
I love FGGAM! Not because I get to write here, but because I get to take time to be still and listen to God here. I get the opportunity to devote my day to the Lord and I share because I believe that in this world, we practice the wrong type of silence!
Thank you Jesus for this! We need to get back to the basics of the Truth. Don’t deny the Truth, but to confess our faults to each other and pray for each other, so that we can help each other, by the same help we ourselves have received from the the same Comforts and Mercies of God!
As we go through this life, I am thankful that My Daily Motto is: “I don’t have it all figured out, BUT God does, Follow Jesus.” The Holy Spirit Helps!
I hope you are encouraged in the love of God through your time here today! Love ~ K

Daily Devotion to God’s Holy Word
Silence is a Beautiful Word … By Karen Rowe
I believe the only way to hold our tongue is to train our mind!
Think about the 1st thing you want to say…in any situation.
Will I honor God with my words?
Will I help this person?
Words are powerful…Can you disagree?
Have you ever been lifted up in your day by something some said to you …perhaps in the very area that no on but you & God knew you were feeling all alone in? H o w about this. Have you ever been hurt by something someone said, EVEN IF it was not true about you? AND, sometimes the truth may even feel like a cattle prod, BUT If we get this we will never be the same!
Silence is golden & full of opportunities to listen to God & also to give others time to speak. Many times I try to stoKe the person, especially my family to tell me what is wrong. BUT when I am silent, that is when they feel FREE to talk to me about what is on their mind.
Both hot tempered, but growing to be trained in the Holy Spirit, I am learning to be careful of what I say. My husband tried to tell me for years, “Karen, Don’t say something that you will have to say you are sorry for later.”
Like the Devotion said yesterday, “Create in me a new heart…” We need God to Create in us a New Attitude on life’s troubles & even excitements!
What about you? Will you take some time that you don’t have TO BE silent in the Presence of the Lord? To fill up with His Goodness, Patience & Wisdom? TO BE prepared with all you need TO remain IN Peace…when your life in this world becomes attacked?
Remember who you are to God!
Rest in your Faith!
SEEK GOD 1st & all these things WILL BE ADDED, like Self-Control!
We are writing our story, what would you like to read about yours?
Me- I hope people see an imperfect me, who is growing into a precious jewel by the Grace of God. A Jewel is made by pressure in silence to become transformed…
Today, If you have something to say, Repent. Pray. Praise. Encourage. Show God how grateful you are for His Son! And, LOVE!
All for Jesus!
How was this for you? Jesus is blessing me & there goes that Train Whistle again…
The one who guards his mouth protects his life; the one who opens his lips invites his own ruin.
Proverbs 13:3 HCSB
TILL NEXT TIME!
TILL NEXT TIME! “GRACE AND PEACE TO YOU FROM GOD OUR FATHER AND THE LORD JESUS CHRIST.”
The address in the Bible is found in 2 Corinthians 1:2, and this is the NIV today.
LOVE IN CHRIST,
