Good Morning Beautiful People…Nigeria, We Are Standing With You
Good morning beautiful people, good morning. I received a request to pray for Nigeria. I have a prayer partner that is from Nigeria and has family and friends there. They love their country and love their people. One thing I know for sure is that Jesus does too.
Today, let’s join faith across this globe and ask God Himself to get involved and push back the forces of darkness that is overtaking this land. Intercessors awaken, it’s time to lift the sword (the Word of God) on behalf of Nigeria. Let’s pray:
Psalm 24 The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it; for he founded it on the seas and established it on the waters. Who may ascend the mountain of the Lord? Who may stand in his holy place? The one who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not trust in an idol or swear by a false god. They will receive blessing from the Lord and vindication from God their Savior. Such is the generation of those who seek him, who seek your face, God of Jacob. Lift up your heads, you gates; be lifted up, you ancient doors that the King of glory may come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle. Lift up your heads, you gates; lift them up, you ancient doors that the King of glory may come in. Who is he, this King of glory? The Lord Almighty—he is the King of glory.
Matthew 18:19 Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven.
Father, we know we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. (Ephesians 6:12)
Father, today we pray for Nigeria. We pray for this nation and petition you, King of Glory to push back the forces of evil and violence. The future of one of Africa’s countries is in trouble. We as Christians stand with them. We pray King Jesus, Father of all nations and ruler of all the earth, for a fresh visitation of your power in Nigeria. Heal their land, oh God, we pray. The battle belongs to you, oh Lord. Send them aid God, aid right from your throne room. We weep with them because of their great loss.
We pray for boldness and courage for the Christian people in Nigeria. We pray they will stand up, speak out, come together, pray and seek your face, oh God of Jacob. For you said it is not by might nor by power but by your spirit saith the Lord of Host. Shake awake the slumbering intercessors, prayer warriors, and all who believe and stand on the Word of God across our world at this time for Nigeria. We say arise from your slumber, waken to the call of prayer and action. Nigeria is on God’s radar.
Jesus, the risen King, push back the force of darkness bringing devastation to this land. Tear down these forces of evil we pray. We receive on behalf of Nigeria today.
All across this land, hear the Word of the Lord. Psalm 24 The earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof. Nigeria belongs to the Lord. We declare today the battle belongs to the Lord and He will have the final say over Nigeria.
Thank you Father for sending comfort to all who mourn in Nigeria today. Strengthen and give strategies from on high to Sam Brownback, the United States Ambassador-at-Large for International Religious Freedom. We stand with him and Nigeria and declare the victory that has already been paid for by the blood of Jesus Christ, the King of Glory. Amen
