This picture is taken from our house on the west side of Albuquerque looking into the Sandia Mountains. We can only see the very top of the Sandias this morning. I do not know where this smoke is coming from, I have not received any reports as of yet. The smell is awful and is being sucked into homes our swampers we use to cool our homes, the forecast is for 100 plus degree heat, 102 today with high humidity. No rain insight. The drought worsens in New Mexico.
The 100 plus degree heat of this week is drying up the land quickly.
I keep thinking I am going to get an alert from ABQ Air Quality, but not as of yet.
If you know of where the smoke is coming from please let me know.

UPDATE at 10:19:
I was just told by Brittney Van Der Werff of NM Fire that the smoky haze in ABQ is caused mostly by the Venado Fire and some by the Hidden Valley Fire. Please pray for all firefighters. It is so dry now that lightening strikes are causing fires.
