Thanks for your and Pastor Paul’s observations on yesterday’s election results, Dewey. Money was a huge issue in getting the word out. We couldn’t compete with their national big buck donors. But the tremendous disappointment was the unconscionable decision that people made to walk out their doors with the specific intent to vote to kill babies and put moms in dangerous situations. I wonder if they even stopped to think of that in their rush to “protect women’s rights.” I would imagine that many did not, as then they would have to examine their lives, rethink their values, and act. It was easier to justify their own behavior and just vote to against the ban. Perhaps I was naive. I really thought the ban would pass. It seemed like such common sense to prohibit a barbaric procedure that causes babies pain and puts mothers in dangerous health situations. Who wouldn’t want to stop that practice once they were made aware? 55% of the voters, that’s who. I too fear for our state’s soul.
God bless you both for all you do to keep us on Christ’s path. He hasn’t given up on us, so we still have work to do.
