Wintery woofs and waggles, this fine Sunday! So, the monster storm has hit New Mexico. We woke up to about 3-4 inches of snow in White Rock . . . maybe there is more in Los Alamos. Not a huge frenzy of white stuff for here, BUT….it’s still snowing! We’ll see how deep it gets. I don’t like it so much when it gets up to my belly, because it makes me cold when I go outside to do my business . . . if you know what I mean.
Currently (8:00 MST) it’s 22 degrees outside and snowing pretty good. My mom’s flock of flamingos is sorta frozen!! I can’t help but think they’d rather be in Florida, since I haven’t seem them move for awhile. Yesterday, one of my mom’s Florida friends said she was still using her air conditioner!!
Speaking of birds, I haven’t seen any hummingbirds for awhile. I don’t think they like the snow.
See, we don’t have too much snow here . . . at least what we consider a LOT of snow here in our mountain community. You can’t really see it here, but it IS snowing.
This next picture is my brother Cooper. He doesn’t mind the snow and cold so much. That’s cuz his relatives come from Wales. I’ve never been there, but I think it is colder and more wet there. No wonder he doesn’t care when he gets snowballs on his feet.
As for me? I think my relatives may be from England too . . . bred by a guy named Reverend John Russell. But, all I know about where me, Kramer, comes from is that I came from Los Angeles. I was brought to the Santa Fe Animal Shelter with about 30 other dogs just about three years ago and that’s when my mom and dad found me. Anyway, I prefer Southern California weather. That’s why, I send my mom out to capture photos of the snow while I stay toasty warm under the covers!!
Woof and out, Kramer the Weather Dog reporting for the snowy north land of New Mexico. Stay warm and keep your outdoor pets warm and safe, too! Remember, several animal shelters around New Mexico are offering straw to help protect pets from the frigid temperatures. Make sure they don’t freeze like my mom’s flamingos!
