City Hall is closed for the day: The City of Albuquerque is closed Wednesday due to hazardous road conditions, so what does that mean for city services that residents have come to rely on?  KOB TV REPORT

KOB TV UPDATE CLOSURES AND DELAYS As I write this at 3:01am Wednesday it is 13 degrees above zero in Albuquerque. Many are wondering how the roads are and what the morning commute is going to be like after the snowfall of yesterday in New Mexico. We got about 4 inches here on the west side. Many roads are snow-packed and icy. Please be very careful. Sharon’s work has been delayed two hours this morning because of the road conditions.

Here are the snowfall reports that we have tallied up so far (as of 10:30am MST).

Don’t see your area represented? Let us know your location and how much you received in your backyard! Bands of snow will continue to favor western NM into the afternoon with periodic showers into central and northern parts of the state. Stay safe!

We are praying for the safety of all! That is the best advice pray and use common sense. Do not take any risks, plain and simple. I grew up in Minnesota and spent most of my life in the Midwest, slow down.

Albuquerque Police posted this last night on their Facebook page:

We are discouraging residents from driving tonight as snow continues to fall, and roads are increasingly dangerous. In addition, City of Albuquerque non-essential services are on a weather delay with offices opening at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Essential personnel will report to work per their regular schedule.
Since midnight, we have reports of:
• 61 traffic accidents without injury
• 26 accidents with injuries
• 40 traffic problems like a stuck or broken car
