The New Mexico State Legislature will complete this year’s 60 day session on Saturday, March 16 at 12:00 noon. Fourteen days remain. The most egregious bills to face our state and nation are now being debated in the cambers of our state capitol.
A final gathering of the Christian faithful, those concerned with a Christian presence in the halls of the Roundhouse will be held in the Rotunda on Wednesday, March 13 at 12:00 noon. Please join in making this final gathering a statement to our legislative body regarding the sanctity of life.
Following are the life issues that are before the legislature for the remaining last week and a half.
HB 51 Abortion Statue Repeal will be heard by the Senate Judiciary Committee and, if it passes, it proceeds to the Senate Floor for debate. Planned Parenthood is pouring a great deal of time, money and effort into New Mexico to make sure this bill passes.

SB 153 and HB 90 Assisted Suicide has a final committee in the Senate, the Senate Judiciary Committee before reaching the Senate floor for final debate and passage. It has been temporarily tabled in the House.

HB 600 Women’s Health and Safety remains in the House Consumer and Public Affairs Committee. It would be a blessing if this bill passed one committee.
