Acting On Your Faith By Jeanne Theriault
Matthew 8:2 A man with leprosy came and knelt before him and said, Lord if you are willing you can make me clean. 3 Jesus reached out is hand and touched the man, I am willing be clean! Immediately he was cured of his leprosy.
Here we see Jesus gave the man three action points in one command. First he told him to rise, take his word and walk. Jesus wanted him to act on his faith. He took action and immediately he was healed.
He is telling you today rise up from your situation. Exercise your faith by taking action. You must do your part first before God does his. Moses stretched out his hand over the Red Sea and the Sea parted. Elijah poured twelve barrels of water on the sacrifice before God sent the fire. The disciples were told to cast out there nets for a catch, the Lord provided the catch of fish.
All these men put there faith in action. When God makes a promise, faith believes it, hope anticipates it, and patience quietly awaits it. Faith has to rise above your fears and feelings. Faith is not base on your feelings it is base on God’s word.
Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.
Corinthians 16:13 Be on your guard, stand firm in the faith, be men of courage be strong 14 Do everything in love.
Hebrews 11:6 And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him . God promises his word will accomplish his will in our lives.
Thank you Lord for your word you stay faithful to your promises. When troubles comes Lord I know you will see me through and by your grace Lord help me to withstand the trials of life in ways that my faith will be found unto praise and honor and glory to You.
Galatians 5:5 By faith we earnestly await through the spirit the righteousness for which we hope.
