Another great message from Pastor Jude Sisneros! I love how Jude gets right to the point in the love of Jesus!

THIS WILL HIT A VEIN IN SOME PEOPLE.. I Know it did in mine… JESUS WE NEED YOUR PRESENCE
My study this morning.. Luke 9: 37-41” The next day, when they came down from the mountain, A large crowd met him. A man in the crowd called out, “Teacher, I beg you to look at my son, for he is my only child, A spirit ceases him and he suddenly screams; it throws him into convulsions so that he foams at the mouth, it scarcely ever leaves him and is destroying him. I begged your disciples to drive it out, but they could not” “ O unbelieving and perverse generation,” Jesus replied, “ How long shall I stay with you and put up with you? Bring your son here”. MY THOUGHTS…. The disciples had just come down from a mountaintop experience with Jesus, and immediately was met with evil.. My question…. Doesn’t that happen to all of us at times? Peter, James, and John probably wanted to stay on the mountain top so that they can continue the goosebump feeling of a mountaintop experience, and the minute that they come for a landing in the valley, they could do nothing with it.. Thank God, they were in the presence of Jesus, because he took care of it, and we must do the same. Sometimes we too have such an inspiring experience that we want to stay where we are. Away from the reality and problems of our daily life. Because of the struggles that awaits us in the valley times it encourages us to want to hang out on the mountaintop. But that type of complacency in our mountaintop experiences will always prohibit us from reaching others.. Hanging on the mountaintop pounding our chest, can makes us believe we are spiritual giants, but in reality we are really dwarfed by self- -centeredness … OUCH!!!… The beauty that they had seen and experienced on the mountaintop, must of made the uglies of the valley times look even uglier.. BOTTOM LINE.. as we look to improve our spiritual vision, it will allow us to see and understand God better, and it will help us to also understand evil better.. We would be overcome by the horrors of this evil world if we did not have Jesus with us to take us through the valley times. Don’t be afraid to confront evil and suffering, no matter how ugly or horrible it my be.. Jesus goes with you.. Get off the mountaintop already!!Stop trying to hang out with those limelight ministers that look for spotlights in every camera moment, who’s vision is limited to their own time and experience, and get into the valley and confront those demons… JESUS IS WITH YOU!! Our understanding of and appreciation for Jesus must go beyond what he can do for us here and now.. Victory over sin and temptation comes through faith in Jesus Christ!! Not through our own efforts… That is all!!
