Thought of the day:
My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world. Reference 1 John 2:1-2 NKJV
John was so adamant that we wouldn’t fall into sin that he wrote where we would fail. He was not afraid if someone got “offended”, because his love for others outweighed how others felt, if, he showed them God’s standards. He wanted that we would all grow in The Lord.
Seems that this has lessened over time. In today’s society, many are more worried about being politically correct rather than standing on God’s Word, which, we know is Truth. This has affected how our society is today.
There seems to be more things that are pushed as acceptable, that God has called sin. Sexual relations that are outside the confines of marriage. Acceptance of substances to be used either medicinally or leisurely, that once were considered illegal due to the ill affects of a person’s health. People suing others because they got hurt while they committed crimes against those who they are suing. And the list goes on.
Interestingly, a lot of people do not know the wrongs involved in all of this until we pull them aside and talk to them. They think all this is ok until someone points out the problems that these things cause. Yes, there are many who will reject the Truth but, what about those who do not know? This should concern us as Believers that we’ve fallen flat on sharing Truth to others.
Are we just going to remain quiet?
