A broken heart is an open heart that God can heal

This Sunday morning we have a wonderful message once again from Sister Connie Keyohara! God Bless you Sister!

You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book.

Psalm 56:8

Place your hope in God and his Spirit, not in someone else. Psalm 118:8

We’ve all been at a place, one time or another, that resulted in heartache.

There were those times we got our heart broken from the end of a romantic relationship, or a friendship that ended in betrayal, maybe rejection or abandonment from someone you trusted.

We all may not suffer the same kind of emotional damage, but sometimes we feel devastated over these issues. To some extent or another.

I was told once that the end of a great relationship is like a death. Because something wonderful ended and it just ceases to exist. That Life as we knew it, is completely gone.

The good news is that broken hearts are open hearts and God uses broken things.

“It takes broken soil to produce a crop, broken clouds to give rain, broken grain to give bread, broken bread to give strength. It is the broken alabaster box that gives forth sweet perfume.” Vance Havner

Have faith God has plans to prosper you and not harm you Jeremiah 29:11.

At the hardest time of our heartache, we need to cling to God’s promise that he’ll never leave us or abandon us.

Hebrews 13:5

Scripture says that “blessed are the poor in spirit” and that “God is close to the broken hearted.” Scripture also tells us that “he holds our tears in a bottle.”

You are not alone! Trust God to heal you. He can heal your broken heart, but you have to give him all the pieces.

When your life seems like a hopeless mess of doubts and fears, just remember that this heartache won’t last forever. It hurts now. It might hurt for a long time. Broken hearts don’t heal over night, but you can open your heart to the God who created you.

When We allow God to heal our broken hearts, anger no longer consumes us. Horrible thoughts no longer fill our minds and depression no longer lingers in us.

God will not only mend your broken heart, He will open it up to the amazing things life has to offer for your future. I know this for sure, because He did it for me!

My prayer for you today, is that you’d give God your broken heart.

Many Blessings,

Connie Keyohara
