Today is the 64th Wedding Anniversary of Charles and Joan McCargish of Reserve, NM. WOW! What a testimony these two are to us all! Deacon Charles and Joan have been such faithful servants at FBC in Reserve, NM for years! I got to meet them 7 years ago this month, when I started to serve at FBC as a Circuit Preacher. Charles and Joan have taught me much wisdom about walking with God. They are two of our best friends ever!
Charles and Joan have suffered tragedies in their life…..but their faith is so very strong in the Lord. This is one of the many reason I love to serve in Reserve, watching and listening to such faithful people.
I asked Charles and Joan what would they believe makes for a wonderful, godly marriage…
Joan said, “Get married in the Church, have a Pastor you can trust, and really make sure you want to get married, if you get married to just get married, it will not last.”
Charles said, “Respect for your wife is key, love and togetherness in all things. Have a God centered marriage.”
Please keep Charles in your prayers as you continues to heal from knee surgery and a cold. Thank you!
