Thoughts to Devotions, By Karen Rowe

Good Day to you Dear Readers of FGGAM,

It’s been a while since I have posted here @ FGGAM.  Although I have been here in heart and daily doing Devotions to God’s Holy Word, something kept getting in the way of carrying that devotion over to here.

I don’t mind sharing with you, lots of things can be going on in our lives, and sometimes, just getting the learn from God is the Devotion in itself.  You know what I mean?  Ever changing, Ever increasing in the knowledge of how good our God is … and how much more we need to grow.  So, some of the reason I haven’t posted here, was that I just wasn’t prepared to yet; and maybe even felt inadequate?  Goodness; and this is why I believe [in my heart filled with Jesus] that I am here; and am writing to you today.  To encourage you in the same way; and in the same Spirit that I myself am encouraged in.  The peace of Jesus is sufficient.

Friends, when we receive this we will never be the same!  What did Jesus say?  Did he say, hide your light?  Or, let it shine?  God didn’t say, everyone but you.  So today, if you have the light of Jesus, let your light of God’s Love shine; through and by Jesus, let your light of Jesus shine for God’s Glory for others to see God’s love alive in you … as you have Peace to.  Sometimes, being quiet is not a bad thing either.  Be still and know that God is God.

If you have never made that decision / confession to God that you need Jesus, please take a moment to pray that repentant prayer to God; and invite Jesus into your life for all time!  And, know this too, as we grow both individually and together in Christ, we need each other like a puzzle in a box, needs to be opened, revealed; and each piece is important to be placed together by God’s own design.  Please hear this message to know how incredibly valuable you are to God.

For example, as you might read in today’s devotion, what I was really searching for was why is gathering together so difficult?  Do we talk too much?  Too little?  How do others look at us – if we do talk too much / or too little?  I really pondered over this for the last couple of weeks.  And, here is what I discovered.  Are we pleasing God with whatever we do?  Pleasing God is all that matters.  And, yet we are put together on this earth to learn how to socialize with each other …??

The Bible is written to the Church; and much of the Bible is dealing with the people in the Church.  I don’t think this has been a one-time gig for us, perhaps you?… that sometimes, if not more times than not, relationships are strained until we get to know each other a little better.

Okay, for example, I am posting on FGGAM today, because a few of you may have endured with me as I wrote about P E A C E many years ago.  What began as a paragraph … took me like 9 pages to discover the depth to the meaning of P E A C E; and, to me now is a word that I can just use as easy as, [like pass the mustard]; and know that you most likely know what it is that I mean.

If I need / desire mustard on my hot dog, then I feel free to ask you to pass the mustard; or if you have mustard.  Why?  Isn’t it because in my area, most people know about mustard; and the worst thing that would be said is that [they are out of mustard]?

See?  This is what P E A C E is to me Today.  In the Church, this is the common household presence that we should all be seeking to ensure that when people show up, The PEACE of JESUS is fully stocked up in the air that we breathe in our home.

Sure, we can know about Peace, experience Peace, but what happens when we start to wonder about pleasing people … more than we seek to know that by faith, God is pleased?

I hope this stirs up the Spirit of the Living God within you to step out of your comfort zone and gather together with other people of Jesus.  Sure, every different level of growth is around us – someone always is a level above us in their knowledge / or growing in the level we have just come up from to a better understanding; but one thing is for sure, God is the one who gives the increase:

Hebrews 10:25 King James Version (KJV)

25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

I hope you enjoy today’s Devotion!

Daily Devotion to God’s Holy Word.

Thoughts to Devotions, By Karen Rowe

Good morning dear people!

Thoughts are like flower petals contained in a bulb. Love is where all things begin.

Once, we were challenged to write our experiences with God & notice what they all had in common.

For the first time, I realized we were being called into a ministry of Love!

I used to be that person who had not come to know Jesus. I only knew about Him; I only knew about God. I knew nothing about the Holy Spirit
…to the point of feeling very awkward discussing UNTIL I understood.

How did I get to this point all I want to do is talk about is Jesus?

I realize that it all began with my thoughts!

You See, when God got my attention with the rain & the 4-Leaf Clover … all I wanted to do was get to know God! “Who made this happen; and why?”

I began to search for God … where? In my thoughts! Every thought became more and more about God & Jesus! The more I discovered about Jesus, the more I discovered about myself.

challenges to change by changing myself

I would read God’s Word to get God’s thoughts & when I read how God wanted me to change; I began to obey the challenges to change by changing myself. I began to obey God and His Word become the nourishment to my soul!

The best food for thoughts; I crave to know God’s thoughts about everything.

Last night, Rob said, “take every thought captive.” It all began lining up!

Change happens when we receive God’s Thoughts and change our thoughts to Become agreeable to God’s will.

Like Praise! It’s not for God! It’s for our benefit to Praise God! See? Like when something difficult happens, how are our thoughts praising God?

Or not?

the petal is in the bulb Already!

It’s hard until …well, Like the petal in the bulb, It takes faith in God to Praise God pressing thru! JESUS says take up your heart and walk into PEACE & JOY!  Such as, “Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk (Jn 5:8).”

“I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings (Jer 17:10).”

A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you (Ez 36:26).”

It’s all for us from God to help us grow nearer to Him, because God already knows what we can discover day by day.

Friends, is God’s Word forming your Thoughts?

Friends, is God’s Word forming your Thoughts?

When you receive this you will never be the same!

Jesus loves you and is near to help you.

Today, if you hear His Voice, listen and obey.

The only way to stop growing is to refuse to change the way you think.

Peace be with you and I pray this is a blessing to your heart Today!

This Chapter in 1 Co, is about LOVE; and is where I began to evaluate myself against the love of God, in which Jesus calls us into.  Am I being?  Is always the best question to ask God when we feel anything done against us; Am I being?

Is the Fruit of the Spirit active or inactive in your life?

In Closing:  Lift up your hands and count your fingers as you say:

“I CAN DO ALL THINGS THRU CHRIST WHO STRENGTHENS ME.”

IF you don’t have 10 fingers, that is why we have each other … to account to God our ability He gives; and enter into His Rest … even Today (on earth as it is in Heaven … as a Citizen of Heaven)…

AFTER THIS MANNER THEREFORE PRAY YE:

After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

11 Give us this day our daily bread.

12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Matthew 6:9-13 King James Version (KJV)

And to God be the Glory!

Love in Christ,

Karen

Meet Karen: Hi, I am blessed, by God's good grace and because I know Jesus, I am blessed. I choose to be blessed, because I have a choice set before me and I refuse to look down. I trust God and I know and believe in the love God has for us. I have overcome difficulties; and I am blessed by the grace of God alone. If I have written about it, then I have felt the pain of it in some way, and to some degree. Did you know that Jesus has felt your pain? This is why I write. By God's grace I can identify; and tell you honestly, yes there is hope in anything and everything that you are facing today! Jesus is our Hope! He is the Truth, the Way and the Life. I am married a wonderful man, Robert Rowe; I love my husband and he loves me; and we have been married for 28 years. Together, we have been blessed with a wonderful daughter, named Amanda who is college now; and a wonderful son, named Daniel who is growing up well and soon to graduate elementary school. We work together and by God's grace we run our own business called PSI. We have a pastor over our ministry and over our business and also we depend on him for advise in our family. We have 2 dogs, 4 horses, 2 cats and love to spend time outdoors by the water and by campfires ... that is it seems when we can find time away from life's busy schedule. I love to write because it helps me learn more about God. And, I am driven by a passion from a love that God has put in my heart to share from my experiences and struggles, as I gain understanding in God’s Word to know how effective and powerful God is over our every situation! I share with you so you can know that you are not alone in your struggles. The same God who helps me and my family, is your help and shield as well! Life is not always easy, but it is possible –I like to share the difference that following Jesus makes in my life. And, I love to share God's patience and mercy and love that is with me! I am not perfect, but am experiencing God sanctify me through and through with every mistake I make; and yes, overcome in Christ! Life is not just about the successes; life on this earth is also about the troubles we overcome to discover what God has hidden in our faith to find! Troubles are more a challenge to grow in our faith ... It is not easy, but in the end the grace of God we discover is worth experiencing God in the midst. By Grace, I have discovered Jesus is Peace and He is my Joy and Wisdom from Heaven. God is our Provider and Healer and Creator, who is our help and shield over all things. By grace, I have experienced a nearness to God through my faith in His Son! We are well forgiven by God; and well blessed when we know and believe the love that God has for us. To say, "all is well with my soul" is a powerful knowledge to understand and experience. I sense God's desire for you to know His love for you and how deep His love for you is that He has SO loved you; God gave you His Son. God loves you right now just as you are! There is so much to learn! I believe that as we learn from God, we are God’s gift to each other. It is all God’s story –and for His glory; and God has SO loved us. I love to paint the vision that God has given me about a Father’s love –that God wants you to dream again and visualize His love for you! In God’s eyes, there’s more to life than we see; and in a world that sometimes misrepresents and misunderstands God and love; God wants you to have the courage to dream His dream and see His vision of a Father’s love for you! Many years ago, I prayed to God, “How can I tell a million people what I know about Your Son?” God showed me I had a gift of a ministry about God's Love; and He called it Hope in Today! I write to please God and I write to encourage you; and I write to spend quiet time with God. All because of this love that God has first shown me! I need Jesus –and my life is about my relationship with God. And, every blessing begins with Him! Love in Christ, Karen Rowe, Director Hope in Today Ministries, Inc.
