John 13:14-15 “Since I , the Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you ought to wash each other’s feet. I have given you an example to follow. Do as I have done to you” My thoughts.. Let me tell you what Grace is not.. Grace doesn’t endorse the deeds of your offenders , Grace doesn’t tell the daughter to like the father who molested her, Grace doesn’t tell the oppressed to wink at injustice, Grace still expects thieves to go to jail, and expects an Ex to pay child support .. Grace isn’t blind.. Jesus didn’t endorse our sins by forgiving us.. So let me tell you what Grace is.. Graces chooses to see Gods forgiveness period.. Grace is well aware of the hurt, but refuses to let hurt poison the heart.. Heb. 12:15″ See to it that no one misses the Grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many”. These past weeks I’ve had to learn this.. When grace is lacking, bitterness abounds, when Grace is abounding.. Forgiveness grows .. But this can only become possible if you have Christ in your heart.. You want to experience Grace in fullness? Start washing feet!! Model Jesus.. Jesus washes first, then we imitate.. Jesus demonstrates .. We imitate .. He hands the towel to us and says”Now you do it”. Walk across the floor of your upper room and wash the feet of your Judas!! Bam.. But you have to get your feet wet first.. Remove your socks and set your feet in the basin of Gods grace.. Let the hand of God wipe away every dirty part of your life first.. Your dishonesty, your anger, your hypocrisy, your drug use, your gossip, your hatred, your judgement , oh hello somebody.. Let God clean it all !! And as his hands do their work.. Walk across the room in your wet feet of Grace and do his work .. It starts with forgiveness .. Boy does this hit a vein in me .. How about you? I’m learning ..Stay Teachable
