What is Leadership?

This really caught my eye! WOW! Powerful! My Dear Brother Franz Boelter of Minnesota, a Minnesota Hall of Fame Coach, from my hometown of Windom, Minnesota posted this yesterday on Facebook. Why did it catch my eye? Because I have been crying out to God for LEADERS IN AMERICA! America lacks quality, solid leaders, its a gapping hole in our Country! The description that Franz shares with us fits my mentors. I am blessed to know leaders like this. LORD, We pray for Godly leadership in America! The end of hate, the end of calling other people bad names, the end of hate on Facebook and twitter, the end of division in America, its infected the Church and Pastors! It would be good for very American to read about President Abraham Lincoln and how he lead America through the Civil War. I have studied American History since I was in the 6th grade. Miss Clara Rasche was one of my favorites, she made learning fun! I fell in love with the great history of America. I just watched the movie “Lincoln’ again. I have so many books on Abe! One of our great problems is that so very many Americans do not know our history, they only live in the present.

My people are destroyed from lack of knowledge. “Because you have rejected knowledge, I also reject you as my priests; because you have ignored the law of your God, I also will ignore your children. Hosea 4:6

It has been apparent to me for years that politicians seem to think leadership is attacking their opponents and saying all sorts of mean things. You watch them on TV and they all promise things, many lie, promising things they know that they cannot follow through on, most never offer solid plans, no meat and potatoes, just attacks. We are spinning in mud in this Country, going nowhere, we are so deep in red ink, our money is now ‘monopoly money’ and one of the ills is the lack of leadership. It do not hear one politician sounding the warning bell on the Federal Deficit! I get a lot of emails from politicians running for office, they never offer any solutions, they just bash their opponents.

One more thing, Every American should have a copy of the Founder’s Bible by David Barton! You will learn a lot! I love reading it!

I have to say that President Harry Truman is one of my favorites! Can you imagine making the decision to drop the atom bomb on Japan? Killing so very many people? BUT! Truman saved thousands and thousand more by not having to invade Japan and not having a ground war. My Dad, Wally Moede SGT U.S. Marines, was on a ship full of his fellow Marines to invade Japan and then Truman ordered the bombing. SAVED THOUSANDS! I loved Truman’s leadership!

As we’ve watched different leaders speak on TV lately, we’ve obviously seen different leadership styles and skills.
