Did You Pick Up Your Key?
Good morning beautiful people, good morning. I woke up this morning remembering a destiny moment I had a few years ago. Prayer definitely is the key. If you have sat your prayer time aside, today is the day to pick it up again. Prayer is definitely the key.
I was in a restaurant with a friend celebrating her birthday. The lady at the next table had lost her car keys and had been looking for several hours to no avail. She had called the tow truck and the dealership where she had purchased the vehicle. A process would begin to make her a new key. She sat in the restaurant alone that afternoon feeling a bit overwhelmed.
As I overheard her conversation with the waitress, I felt for her. She had been busy taking care of several other family members and this day was hers. This was the day she had carved out for herself and it wasn’t going so well. I inquired if I could pray with her. I prayed the prayer of agreement from Matthew 18:19 with this total stranger. Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. Together, we prayed (asked) and thanked God for revealing where the lost keys were.
I then told her to call the three stores she had told me she had been shopping in. At first she was a bit reluctant as she had called them not too much earlier. The first call made, the store had no keys turned in. She made the second call-no keys. Oh, hold on, the lady said, they are being turned in right now, as we speak. My new friends countenance changed and she jumped up from her chair and gave me a high five. As she finished up her meal, I went to retrieve the keys for her.
Isn’t that the God we serve? He wanted to reveal himself to her through the power of prayer. Our paths may never cross again, but as long as she remembers how Jesus met her that afternoon, it’s all good. May she always remember the power of prayer. Amen? Amen.

Father, thank you for divine appointments and destiny moments. Thank you that every detail of our lives you care about. Thank you for the promise of the prayer of agreement. As we journey our lives today, may we all remember that it’s all about Jesus. He is the way, the truth and the life. (John 14:6)
Father, may many all across this globe today pick up the mantle of prayer once again and believe they too will receive.
Father, give us all the opportunity to have those destiny moments with others today. You are always watching over your Word to perform it. Amen
