Being Real In A Confused World…
Good morning beautiful people, good morning. Recently I was in a local discount store that is having a huge dress sale- sixty percent off to be exact. I thought it would be nice to have a new dress as I don’t own very many dresses.
I found an unusual dress that I liked. I laughed as I thought it would be fun to try this dress on. The fitting room attendant assured me it was my dress. I told her I didn’t know if I would dare to leave my home in this dress. She assured me that was my dress. We laughed together and she said something like God is so good to me. He always sends me someone to encourage me when I need it. We shared writing stories, as she is a writer too. I am not sure what she is going through but we shared a few good laughs and writing tips.
The other two ladies working in the department got involved too. One lady said we are required to tell the truth, I am not sure about the dress. Maybe one of the other dresses would look better, she said through her amazing smile. The third lady, she nodded her head back and forth, yes, no, as she was gasping to know what to say. She was unsure.
Later that evening, I visited my daughter, and my sisters wearing the dress. One sister who would never say anything to hurt anyone’s feelings ever, her face squinted up as she was looking at me. My daughter said, now that’s your style.
Isn’t it great that we can be ourselves in a confused world. We live our days different than the worlds system. God’s Word tells us this is the day that he has made and we need to enjoy it. (Psalm 118:24) He tells us not to worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. (Matthew 6:34)
Today, choose to be real before a real God. He knows and sees everything. He longs to commune with mankind. He died for us when we were yet sinners. (John 3:16) He is no far off distant God. We were created in his image. (Genesis 1:26) Commune with him today, as you enjoy the day God has given you. It’s a beautiful day. Just be yourself. Amen? Amen.

Father, thank you for another day to enjoy. Oh, how we love to worship you. Thank you for everything you have given us. May we be found faithful to everything you ask of us.
Father, thank you that we are all unique, created in the image of God. Race, denomination, preference and all the worlds systems that try to divide us- just can’t.
Father, we come together today all across this globe thanking you for hearing and answering our prayers. Together we pray the Lord’s Prayer:
Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom and the power, and the glory, forever and ever.
