Obama Frustrated By Efforts To Sanction Iran

Flags of the US and Iran (GRAPHIC)The Obama Administration has expressed deep consternation at an attempt by senior US Senators, including members of the President’s Democratic Party, to introduce new sanctions against Iran’s renegade nuclear program despite the agreement announced on 24 November in Geneva. White House press secretary Jay Carney told reporters the President would veto the legislation if it was passed and statements of opposition came from Administration spokespeople. “We strongly oppose the action taken by these members of Congress,” State Department deputy spokeswoman Marie Harf said. Read More
