Father, Pour Out Your Spirit We Pray…
Good morning beautiful people, good morning. Today is National Day of Prayer. The Theme this year is life, love and liberty. We know God hears every prayer and he answers according to his will. We don’t need to beg God, we need to petition him and give him thanks for hearing our prayers. He tells us he will answer when we call (Jeremiah 33:3) and God is not a man that he should lie. (Numbers 23:19)
In Joel 2:28 God promised to pour out his spirit on all flesh. A promise is a promise with God, as he is a covenant keeper. (Romans 8:16-17)
We know from the Holy Scriptures that the earth belongs to the Lord. (Psalm 24) Since he is owner and we are joint heirs we know that he will make every crooked path straight on our behalf.
Today, let’s thank him for life, let’s thank him for love, and let’s thank him for liberty. Everything we are and everything we will ever become, is because of him and his great love. Life was his idea from the beginning of time and our freedom is in him as well. Whom the Son sets free is free indeed. (John 8:36)
Together we pray the Lord’s prayer from Matthew 6:9-13
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. 10Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
Father, we pray, we believe and therefore we receive according to Mark 11:24.
