It wafts down through the low-lands, like a cool refreshing breeze.
It rings from every mountain top, and dances through the trees.
Though we cannot touch it, it must be held onto.
No man can take it from us, it belongs to me and you.
It’s been challenged on the battlefields, today we know the cost.
Too many gave their lives, that it would not be lost.
Through the words of our Constitution, it runs just like a thread.
With God’s grace, we’ll protect it, and defend it till we’re dead.
I guess if it had a color, it’d be red, white and blue.
The colors of America…the brave, the tried, the true.
Perhaps if you wonder, just what it could be…
It’s the backbone of our country, We call it LIBERTY!
