Governor, Please leave my old cars alone. We cannot afford a used car at today’s prices. I will never own a new car, way, way out of our price range, I see no sense in owing a new vehicle. We put as much as we can into ministry. I drive a 2006 Buick, The JESUS Car, pictured, which was donated to us. PS: The JESUS car has since been washed! LOL! Sharon drives a 2001 Toyota Rav. We take very good care of our cars. The increase in gas prices is hard on the wonderful folks in rural New Mexico and circuit preachers that travel the state.

Please find below a statement from House Republican Leader Jim Townsend (Artesia) in response to Gov. Lujan Grisham’s out of touch statement and proposal to increase fuel prices on New Mexicans.
“Lujan Grisham is so desperate to please her donors and DC friends, that she is willing to sell out New Mexicans for her version of the Green New Deal- this coming from a politician that reportedly turned down a cabinet position with Biden’s Interior Department,” said House Republican Leader Jim Townsend (Artesia). “Lujan Grisham’s administration is defined by selling out New Mexicans to the highest bidder- she lobbied for and was ultimately turned down for the Health cabinet secretary in DC, and now when gas prices are finally plateauing she wants to earn out of state special-interest campaign contributions by increasing the price of fuel at the pump. New Mexico is a mostly rural state, and her reckless plans to take New Mexicans’ hard earned money to fund her eco-activism for reelection is very disingenuous to the people. There is nothing worse than having a politician with DC ambitions on the fourth floor, and this Governor knows no bounds to holding back on her ambitions to either return to DC or let her dark-money friends destroy New Mexico.”

Thank God that Paul didn’t just tell us the problem in 2 Timothy 1:6-8; he also gave us the answer. When he gave Timothy the answer he also gave us the answer for he said in verse 7, “For God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”
These three things—power, love, a sound mind—can give you a future free from the bondage of fear. When I say the bondage of fear, I’m not saying a future free from fear. I wouldn’t want a future free from fear. It is right for us to have a reverential fear of God. I’m talking about productive fear. Productive fear is good. It is through a right fear of God that we are free from the wrong fear of man and of the world.
