We Are God’s Treasure…
Good morning beautiful people, good morning. As I continue to unpack and move things around from room to room, I ran across my little treasure chest last evening. It was my beautiful find on an Island here in Maine, from a few years ago. In this chest, I kept the greatness rocks that my grandson and I painted when he was younger. I tried to teach him early his identity in Christ. He was God’s masterpiece, made in the image of God and created for greatness.
Somehow, those precious greatness rocks found their way out of my treasure box, but we will make some more. God has put greatness in every person. Our position in life is to discover the gift(s) he has placed within us and use them for his glory.
Today, let’s thank God that he is our rock and we are his treasure. Amen? Amen.

Father, thank you for the gift(s) you have given each of us. Psalm 139 tells us for you created our inmost being; you knit us together in our mother’s womb. We praise you because we are fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, we know that full well. Our frame was not hidden from you when we were made in the secret place, when we were woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw our unformed body; all the days ordained for us were written in your book before one of them came to be. How precious to us are your thoughts, God! How vast is the sum of them! Were we to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand— when we awake, we are still with you.
Father, thank you for the greatness you have placed inside every person. May today they discover more of you and more of the greatness they carry from you. Amen.
