Police say four people are believed to have died in a U.S. military helicopter crash in eastern England.
Military officials at Royal Air Force (RAF) Station Lakenheath confirmed that a HH-60 Pave Hawk crashed during a training exercise mission today. Sky News reports that the crash occurred Tuesday night in the Cley coastal area of Norfolk County.
Lt. Keenan Kunst at the Royal Air Force station in Lakenheath, Suffolk County, which hosts U.S. Air Force units and personnel, said in a telephone interview to the Associated Press that the helicopter that crashed was based there. He said authorities are investigating the crash, and he had no more information.
However police in Norfolk County, said four people are believed to have died. They have cordoned off the area.
