I am so very thankful for my new friend Margi! Her postings on Facebook encourage me so much to continue going forth for JESUS! We all need encouragers and I thank Margi for all that she posts for God’s Glory Alone!
Many are distressed over the direction our nation is taking. Our country appears to be in a moral and spiritual downfall, and I have heard it said that those who disregard history will actually repeat it. I fear this is exactly what is happening to the United States today!
Sodom and Gomorrah were cities during the time of Abraham and found in the book of Genesis. They were known for their pride, their cruelty to others, and for sexual immorality and unnatural lust. The book of Jude tells us, “they gave themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion”. Their wickedness became more than God could tolerate. Finally, He told Abraham He would destroy them, but would spare the people and not destroy Sodom and Gomorrah if he could find even ten righteous people. Genesis 19:24, “the Lord rained down burning sulfur on Sodom and Gomorrah – from the Lord out of the heavens.”
It has been said that what becomes legal may also be evil! Many types of sexual perversion are accepted and even being taught to our children, and we see abortion being recognized in many states,
The Disneyland created for children and families all over the world is now a place many parents today avoid due to Disney’s acceptance of the “woke” ideology and homosexuality.
Will the United States become another Sodom and Gomorrah? Is there hope for this once great country? I believe there is but it will take the church, God’s people to step up and begin praying as never before! Yes, there is sin, great sin and yes there is pride, great pride. But there is a God who arms His people with spiritual weapons and His arm is not too short to save! So awake people of God! Awake and see His great warning – this nation is in deep sin and has refused to obey the precepts set before us. Let us bow our knees and together we can intercede for this country to once again follow the mandates of our Mighty God!
