Can You Give It Another Try Beautiful People?
Good morning beautiful people, good morning. Don’t laugh now, it’s way past morning on this beautiful Saturday in Aroostook County, Maine. I enjoyed the quietness of not rushing this morning on living my best year yet. I like to just sit and reflect over the past events, people I have met and spoken to this week. I like to see what I have accomplished during the week and what’s left to be done. Laundry, dusting, grocery shopping seems to be waiting on the agenda for later today.
I was at a store picking up a few items this week to hold me over until today and met a lady that began to tell me about her church hurt. I thought about her again this morning. She said she was a believer in Jesus but had a bad experience in the church she attended. I was on a mission on a noon lunch but took time to listen to her heart. I wish it never happened and she would have found friends, love and acceptance there, but she felt she had not. I made that a prayer for her and that she would have courage to try again. There are no perfect churches, nor perfect people, but we do serve a perfect God.
Today let’s pray about folks that may have been hurt at church. We have all been through “things at church”. I could tell you some stories myself. People get feelings hurt at work, in competitions, school, sports and every part of life every day. Why would we think it wouldn’t happen in church? Let’s ask God to heal up the church hurts around the globe today and draw his beautiful people back for another try. Amen?
Let’s Pray:
Father, thank you that you are Christ the healer. Today we lift up every person that may be carrying a hurt or offense from a church situation. Today we bring them to the healing waters of Jesus Christ.
Father, we ask you to heal, to restore your people as they forgive others that caused them pain within the walls of a church. We pray Lord, you would lead them to a body of believers that would love, heal and restore them for such a time as this. Amen.
Have a blessed day God’s most beautiful people. Talk it out with your Heavenly Father and let him touch your heart. See you at church once again wherever God leads you. Yes, he is speaking to you. Let him rain down on you today.
Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. Ephesians 4:32
