President Joe Biden (D) and former President Donald J. Trump (R) swept yesterday’s Super Tuesday primary voting results, with Trump winning 14 of 15 states. Vermont, as predicted, was won by former U.S. Ambassador and South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley (R).
All major news organizations are reporting this morning (3/6/2024) that Haley has decided to suspend her campaign.
According to REUTERS, Haley plans to give a speech at 10:00 AM EST to address her future in the race, but that she does not plan to make an endorsement at that time. She instead will reportedly urge Trump to try to win the backing of her supporters, which includes a large number of independent voters, as well as moderate Republicans.
