The Jerusalem Post reports that Brigadier General (Res.) Amir Avivi, Chairman, Israel Defense and Security Forum (“IDSF”), was interviewed by The Media Line about the ongoing war in Gaza, including calls from the Biden administration to halt Israel’s Rafah operation.
During the interview, General Avivi was asked about the Biden administration’s thoughts on halting the operation in Rafah, to which he replied: “[w]hat the administration is saying is basically it’s calling Israel to lose the war. Israel cannot lose the war. Israel cannot go back to a reality where Hamas can build itself back to tens of thousands of militants on our borders, threatening all the towns along the border and threatening all of Israel with rockets.”
General Avivi reiterated that Israel must achieve the real goals of the war and that it is not just about Gaza, referring to its ability to stand strong against Lebanon, Hezbollah, Iran, and militias in Syria and Iraq.

My brothers and sisters, as this writer has discussed in several recent FGGAM articles regarding the Israel-Hamas war, the Biden administration’s tepid and conflicting support, and now apparent lack thereof, is seemingly attempting to preempt Israel’s military victory by allowing Hamas’ last three brigades and command & control areas to remain in Rafah, without being destroyed.
Current U.S. policy seems, unbelievably, to align with allowing the former “status quo” of never-ending terrorist attacks instead of simply “finishing the job” – which would bring a more secure and prosperous life for all parties, including the Palestinian people.
Iran, Hezbollah and Hamas DO NOT CARE about the Palestinian people or they would not be consistently used as human shields, with Hamas turning hospitals and apartment complexes into legitimate military targets by running command centers, storing weapons and ammunition, and using the areas for actual attacks against Israel.
Never forget that the ideology and primary goal of Iran, Hezbollah and Hamas is to kill Jews and to remove the nation of Israel from the face of the earth.
SHAME on the Biden administration for not fully supporting Israel’s effort to win, not simply survive, the war. Why has the United States, ever since winning WWII, refused to fight wars with the goal of complete and unconditional victory? One should not enter into a war unless absolutely necessary; however, when one is thrust into a war, victory should always be the end game – or the war should not have been fought in the first place!
For Israel to simply survive the Hamas attack and subsequent war ASSURES that the future holds additional terrorism, death and regional angst (until the Lord returns). The religious and ideological mindset of persons such as Hamas fighters is not going to be changed by simply being “nice” and overlooking atrocities, as the issue is spiritual and of the heart. Only the touch of the Holy Sprit leading to repentance and salvation through faith in Christ Jesus will reconcile mankind unto the Father, and bring true peace.
The United States should never forget or mitigate the importance of Israel being our only true ally and the only democratic country in the entire Middle East. It would also serve us well to remember that Israel is the only Jewish nation (homeland) in the ENTIRE WORLD and that the Jewish people are God’s chosen people!
Here is what scripture has to say about war and the Jewish people:
Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 (Amplified Bible)
A Time for Everything
“There is a season (a time appointed) for everything and a time for every delight and event or purpose under heaven—[a] time to be born and a time to die; [a] time to plant and a time to uproot what is planted. A time to kill and a time to heal; [a] time to tear down and a time to build up. A time to weep and a time to laugh; [a] time to mourn and a time to dance. A time to throw away stones and a time to gather stones; [a] time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing. A time to search and a time to give up as lost; [a] time to keep and a time to throw away. A time to tear apart and a time to sew together; [a] time to keep silent and a time to speak. A time to love and a time to hate; [a] time for war and a time for peace [emphasis mine].”
Genesis 12:3 (NKJV)
The LORD said to Abram (later Abraham): “I will bless those who bless you, [a]nd I will curse him who curses you; [a]nd in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”
Deuteronomy 7:6 (NKJV)
“For you [the Jews] are a holy people to the Lord your God; the Lord your God has chosen you to be a people for Himself [emphasis mine], a special treasure above all the peoples on the face of the earth.”
Zechariah 2:8-10 (NKJV)
“For thus says the Lord of hosts: ‘He sent Me after glory, to the nations which plunder you; for he who touches you touches the apple of His eye. For surely I will shake My hand against them, and they shall become spoil for their servants. Then you will know that the Lord of hosts has sent Me. Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion [Jerusalem]! For behold, I am coming and I will dwell in your midst,’ says the Lord.”
Praise Jesus forevermore!
