Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance. It is the Lord Christ whom you serve. For he who does wrong will receive the consequences of the wrong which he has done, and that without partiality. (Colossians 3:23-25) God and Godly Role Models

FGGAM photo of Pastor Dewey Moede. Sharon and I spent three days  ministering in Catron County. I am so very thankful to our Lord that Sharon travels with me now! Sharon makes our ministry much stronger! Glory! God gives us such joy! We so much love being a Great Commission ministry! A FULL HOUSE  at the First Baptist Church in Glenwood! Glory! God is so very good to us! Folks loved our TEAM JESUS shirt!
Many Churches in America have forgotten to build bridges to folks who do not know JESUS! Too many love preaching to the choir! WAKE UP CHURCH! IT IS CALLED THE GREAT COMMISSION!

If you know anything about me I have been shouting from the rooftops for years that the greatest failure of the America Church in the last decade OR MORE, is the failure not to witness, not carrying out the Great Commission! We are paying a deep price for this failure here in America. The walls of many Churches are doing great damage to the mission we have been given by our Lord! I call it the sit-more-do-little-more Church! The Great Commission is a COMMAND not a suggestion! LACK OF BAPTISMS in so many Churches.

PRAY OVER THIS

“But at night an angel of the Lord opened the prison doors and brought them out, and said, ‘Go, stand in the temple and speak to the people all the words of this life.’ And when they heard that, they entered the temple early in the morning and taught. But the high priest and those with him came and called the council together, with all the elders of the children of Israel, and sent to the prison to have them brought.”

PONDER THIS

Do you know what’s wrong in the average church? Many of us are not sharing our faith. Many of us think we have really served God if we come to church faithfully, live good clean lives, have a job in the church like teaching Sunday School or singing in the choir, and give our money. If we do these things, we usually think we are pretty good Christians. Isn’t that right?

But, unless you are vitally interested in the matter of bringing souls to Jesus Christ, you’re not fulfilling the mission of God. You may say, “Well God didn’t call me to do that, God called me to be a preacher, a singer, a Sunday school teacher.” God has called you to witness, and a Christian who is not witnessing is not merely missing a blessing, he is guilty of high treason against Heaven’s King.

  • How have you defined serving and living for God? How is that different from Scripture’s definition?
  • Who are some people you want to share your faith with? How are you praying for them?

PRACTICE THIS

Share your faith, giving witness to something God has recently done in your life.
