REUTERS reports HERE that North Korea is allegedly providing weapons support and military personnel to Russia, as the country wages its war against Ukraine. Ukraine’s President, Volodymyr Zelensky, stated over the weekend that defense relationships with partner countries would need to change in light of North Korean transfers of people and weapons to the Russian military.
Last week, South Korea’s Defense Minister Kim Yong-hyun said “there was a high possibility” that North Korea could deploy troops to help Russia in its war against Ukraine and that news reports of North Korean military officers being killed by Ukraine during a strike on Russian-controlled territory were likely true.
REUTERS reports HERE that during a recent address to the nation, Zelensky said that he was briefed about North Korea’s involvement in the war and Russia’s military plans for this fall and winter. North Korea, a burgeoning Kremlin ally, has supplied ballistic missiles and ammunition to Russia, which have already been used in Russia’s war against Ukraine.
Russian Spokesman Dmitry Peskov denies that North Korea was sending troops to fight with Russia against Ukraine, calling that accusation “fake news.”
CNN reports HERE that Russia and North Korea have forged increasingly warm ties since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. During Russian President Vladimir Putin’s visit to North Korea in June 2024, the two countries pledged to use all available means to provide immediate military assistance in the event the other is attacked.
My brothers and sisters, evil seeks out and befriends evil. The Russian-North Korea connection is another tentacle of the ‘axis of evil’ we are observing in the world that is comprised, in large part, of the totalitarian, communist and spiritually-deceived leaders of Russia, China, North Korea and Iran.
These leaders despise Jesus, Christians and the freedom found in Western nations because the TRUTH brings to light the evil goals of such leaders:
John 3:19-20 (ESV)
“And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil. For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed.”
It would serve the leaders of Russia and North Korea to heed the word of the Lord:
Proverbs 13:20 (NKJV)
“He who walks with wise men will be wise, [b]ut the companion of fools will be destroyed.”
In the end, the bible makes it clear that when justice is served, it will be a terror to those who promote evil:
Proverbs 21:15 (ESV)
“When justice is done, it is a joy to the righteous but terror to evildoers.”
Isaiah 5:20 (NKJV)
“Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; [w]ho put darkness for light, and light for darkness; [w]ho put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!”
