When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought joy to my soul.”
Psalm 94:19
This is definitely the time to remember that God is with those that are brokenhearted and those crushed in spirit.
We are currently living out one of the most anxious times in our lives. Election year is always burdensome. Things are difficult, people are difficult and harsh.
However, there’s only one person that can save the day… Jesus Christ.
Today, I would like to talk about some of the things that he can do.
“You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.”
Isaiah 26:3
To name only a few attributes of my God:
•Almighty One – “…who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”
Revelation 1:8
•Alpha and Omega – “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.”
•Advocate – “My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have an advocate with the Father–Jesus Christ, the Righteous One.” 1John 2:1
•Author and Perfecter of Our faith – “Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12:2
•Authority – “Jesus said, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.” Matthew 28:18
•One Who Sets Free – “So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” John 8:36
•Our Hope – “…Christ Jesus our hope.” 1Timothy 1:1
•Peace – “For he himself is our peace, who has made the two groups one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility,” Ephesians 2:14
He is also; the Open door, the Way, the Truth, our Counselor ,The vine, the Victorious one, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the fourth man in the fiery furnace, our Battle Cry.
Almighty God, The Great I Am, Immoveable Rock, Omnipotent powerful, Awesome Lord,
Victorious Warrior, Commanding King of Kings, Mighty Conqueror!!
He’s majestic, he’s love, he’s hope, he’s peace, and he’s truth!
He said that he would never leave us or abandon us. We do not walk alone, God is with us at all times.
Another wonderful thing that God does for us is He tells us what’s going to happen, through his Prophets.
“For the Lord GOD does nothing without revealing his secret to his servants the prophets.”
Amos 3:7
Our hope must be in Christ, alone crucified.
I’m all for voting biblical issues because if we believe God cares about abortion and other issues, then why shouldn’t we care about those issues. And vote our conscience? But we must trust God to do his perfect will.
Do not get caught up in political arguments though!
Whatever the outcome of this or any election is, our hope will not be shaken!
We’re merely passerbys. So keep your eyes fixed on your heavenly home and fear not.
For this world is not our home; we are looking forward to our everlasting home in heaven.
Hebrews 13:14
God‘s got you covered! Seek his face, pray and trust him.
Many blessings,
Connie
