Lucky #13?
Let me clarify first and foremost that I don’t believe in ‘luck.’ What I hope to bring out in this writing is that in the presidential election of 2024, New Mexico appears to still be a ‘blue’ state, but if you look closer and break the results down by counties, there are only 13 counties in our state that remained blue and 45% of Native Americans, for the first time in American history voted for Republicans! Having clearly stated these truths, this means that 20 counties are ‘red,’ which concludes the majority of New Mexicans voted for ‘life,’ against the radical LGBTQ+ agenda, we want to be energy independent and proved we’re sick and tired of the horrible economic conditions and ‘cancel culture’ that we’ve been forced to deal with over the past four years of the soon to be gone Biden/Harris administration. The ultimate question is, What does this mean for us from a biblical perspective?
The number 13 in the Bible has multiple meanings, including:
-
Unlucky: In the King James Bible, 13 is often seen as an unlucky number that represents evil, wickedness, and rebellion.
-
Judas: Judas is considered the thirteenth apostle, and is always named last in the list of apostles (of course, this is counting Jesus, as number one, being the Apostle of our faith).
-
The Israelites: The Israelites marched around Jericho 13 times before the city walls fell (they marched around the city one time each day for 6 days and 7 times on the 7th day).
- Ishmael: Ishmael, Abraham’s illegitimate son (not the son of The Promise), was circumcised at the age of 13.
In Judaism, 13 is considered a lucky or spiritually significant number. For example, Abraham entered into 13 covenants with God through the commandment of Bris Milah, the covenant of ritual circumcision. At the age of 13, a Jewish boy becomes a bar mitzvah (a son [or ‘bat,’ daughter] of The Commandments), which marks the beginning of his or her religious and social obligations in Jewish life.
The number 13 is symbolic of rebellion and lawlessness in the Bible. Nimrod, the mighty hunter who was “before the Lord” (meaning he tried to take the place of God, Genesis 10:9), was generation 13 in Ham’s line (Ham was one of Noah’s three sons who survived the flood).
Rio Arriba, Taos, Santa Fe, Los Alamos, Sandoval, McKinley, Cibola, Mora, San Miguel, Guadalupe, Grant, Dona Ana & Bernalillo Counties (we are calling you out), get ready for what’s coming in 2025 & beyond, because the 20 red counties are focused on you! Do you know what the number 20 in the bible means?
Significance of Number 20: The biblical number 20 represents a period of waiting, completeness, military readiness, and the age of maturity. Hebrew Meaning: In Hebrew, the letter Kaph (20) symbolizes strength, provision, blessings, the fulfillment of promises, and the milestone of reaching full maturity.
All the promises of God are yes and amen, in Christ Jesus! Believers in NM, across America and around the world have been waiting on The LORD to renew their strength. The culmination of all things are coming together in our day, the battle may be waging, but the Church wins the war. Every member of the body of Christ is going to do their part, to come into the fullness of GOD, the one new man, Jew & Gentile together as mature followers of Messiah. In our weakness HE shows HIS strength. Yahweh is our provider, Who will fulfill HIS promises, so get ready, because Heaven & Earth shall be filled with the glory, the manifest presence of GOD and every eye will see HIM, because HE is coming again soon!
