Every Child’s Name…

Good morning beautiful people, good morning. Happy Monday. I am always on an adventure it seems. Life is an adventure, and I am loving it these days. Let me share this divine appointment with you. My three grandsons and I hit the road for a trip south to the shopping mall. The five-and-a-half-hour ride seemed doable for this rather young grandmother. My oldest grandson wanted to go to the guitar store where he tried out several guitars. His dreams are high, but his wallet is quite low. He soon will turn 16 and start a part time job after school to save for the guitar of his dreams.

My youngest grandson always seems to get car sick. Even with his shark pillow (the size of my car) and his blanket, we barely make it to the interstate 95 before the pullover and cleanup. We were a bit pro-active this time around and traveled with a bucket and cleaning supplies.

My middle grandson sat in the front and helped me maneuver the GPS, the various lanes and was my other set of eyes when the snow began to fall. Thankful for his abilities as we saw several off of the road.

As I was waiting for them to get a soda from the vending machine, I met a lady that was just filling in at a Kiosk. Her name was Destiny. She began to tell me about her struggle of passing out. She shared what happened the day she had an ultra-sound of the baby she was carrying. It happened again; I passed out, she explained.

I told her about my radio show Destiny Moments and offered to pray for her. We bowed our heads and prayed for healing for this beautiful soul. The owner returned and we were all on our way. She was explaining to my grandsons the details they missed as she went to her next assignment. I told her that her child’s name should be Blessing. Actually, I think every child’s name should be Blessing, as they are a gift from God.

My small Buick was full before we ever left home. The dream of a new guitar turned into a poster. The shark and blanket met up with mom and my other set of eyes got us all home safe and sound. I ponder this morning this last moment trip. Was it providence or destiny? Either way, it was a blessing.

How about you? Any assignments this Christmas?

Let’s Pray:

Father, thank you for the gift of children. They bring such joy to the world. They truly are a blessing from you. Every child was your idea before time ever began.

Father, thank you for dreams of a child. May they never lose their ability to dream, we pray. Amen.

Have a blessed day God’s most beautiful people. Bless a child today as they are a blessing from God to this world. Amen.

Psalm 100:1-5 Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.
