Billy Graham stated years ago that people do bad things because of the presence of sin within the human heart, which stems from the original rebellion against God by Adam and Eve, allowing evil to enter the world; he emphasizes that this “evil” is not caused by God, but rather by Satan, and that humans have a choice to resist this temptation and turn to God for forgiveness and redemption.
This DWI scandal is largest law enforcement scandal I have seen in my lifetime. So very tragic…….how much more ugly is out there to be uncovered?

Sheriff John Allen announced that former Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Jeffrey Hammerel resigned yesterday (2/25/2025). Shortly after, Hammerel accepted a plea deal in connection with a federal indictment tied to an ongoing DWI investigation.
“The Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office holds its deputies to the highest ethical and professional standards, and any violation of public trust will not be tolerated,” Allen stated. “While this case is now under the federal justice system’s jurisdiction, we remain committed to transparency and accountability.” More Here
Why so much EVIL?
“So I tell you this, and insist on it in the Lord, that you must no longer live as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their thinking. They are darkened in their understanding and separated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of their hearts” Eph 4: 17, 18.
The Scriptures call the mind of the natural man “blinded” 2 Cor. 4:4, “depraved” Romans 1:28, “corrupt” 1 Tim. 6:5, and “unspiritual” Col. 2:18. The natural mind thinks from a humanistic, sin-debased viewpoint. The viewpoint of the flesh directs its thoughts. The sinful mind is under the control of Satan and can never please God because it concentrates on things of the world and not things of the Spirit. The natural mind walks the road of hopelessness and self-destruction.
