Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the American Israeli Public Affairs Committee’s (AIPAC) 2014 Policy Conference in Washington DC Tuesday evening, declaring that the next step in the process of achieving peace was up to the leaders of the Palestinian Authority. PA President Mahmoud Abbas “must recognize the Jewish state,” Netanyahu said, adding that this would tell “the Palestinians that, while we have a territorial dispute, the right of the Jewish people to a state of their own is beyond dispute. Recognize it. No excuses. No delays. It’s time. “The Palestinians need to stop denying history.”
