Maybe even the Democratic Party now knows how bad of a job Attorney General Gary King has done for the taxpayers of New Mexico. I was told a few weeks ago by a Political insider that Democratic leaders did not want Gary King as their candidate for Governor because of all his baggage. King has been a disaster as Attorney General, he finished last in yesterdays voting for Governor. State Senator Howie Morales of Silver City was the first place finisher for Governor among New Mexico Democrats as the gathered at Saturdays pre-primary convention. Morales got about 29% of the vote. Candidates who fail to win 20% of the delegate vote are required to submit a larger number of voter petition signatures if they still want to qualify for the ballot. Newcomer Alan Weber showed very well at 22%, Lawrence Rael with 20%, State Senator Linda Lopez, a death candidate who supports abortion got about 18% and King got just 11%. June 3rd is the date for the Democratic Primary Election. Picture is of Attorney General King
