About That Global Warming…

Earlier this week, Senate liberals wasted a lot of hot air talking for hours and hours about global warming, just in time for much of the country, including Washington, D.C., to get hit with another winter blast. Snow showers are forecast for Monday.

But where does the issue, so important to the left, rank with the American people? According to Gallup’s latest ranking issues, climate change is almost dead last, coming in 14th out of 15 issues tested.

Washington liberals are so out-of-touch that it’s not surprising they are doing the exact opposite of what most Americans want. Much of the country would probably appreciate a little global warming right now! If you think this winter has been cold, you’re right. In fact, it’s been the coldest winter in 100 years!

Walking Dead … Voters?

Zombies are an “in thing” in today’s pop culture, but a recent story from Detroit takes it to another level.

A week ago, a contractor sent by a bank to check out a foreclosed home discovered the mummified body of a woman in the garage. Police believe the woman had been dead since 2008. Neighbors said they hadn’t seen her for at least three years. She wasn’t close with her family. Apparently no one had thought to call the police earlier.

That’s depressing enough, but get this: Years after her death, it appears someone voted in her name during the 2010 gubernatorial election. Given the history of Detroit, why do I suspect her ballot didn’t go to a conservative?

Schools and churches are popular polling locations for the living. But perhaps big city liberals will recommend cemeteries in the near future. If Obama’s approval rating keeps falling, they’ll need all the voters they can get!

“Treason” At The CIA?

The continuing battle between Democratic Senator Dianne Feinstein and the Central Intelligence Agency has D.C. buzzing. On Tuesday, Feinstein, chairman on the Senate Select Intelligence Committee, accused the spy agency of secretly probing the committee’s computers and taking documents related to the CIA’s interrogation methods on suspected terrorists.

House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa went ballistic yesterday, saying that the CIA’s actions, if they occurred, amount to “treason” because they would be an attack on the separation of powers. Issa said:

Spying on the executive branch-spying on Congress or violating the separation of powers as to the Supreme Court or as to Congress is effectively treason. Treason- it’s written up in the Constitution. I don’t know who gave the orders, but to spy on other branches is in fact a constitutional violation at the level of high crimes and misdemeanors and certainly should cause the removal of anyone involved.

I admire Issa’s tenacity. But I’d point out that the Obama administration attacks the separation of powers almost daily. All members of Congress should be just as concerned with the president’s taking over of the legislative process from Congress.

After serving in the United States Navy for 22 years I retired from the service late in 1991. Having always loved the southwest, shortly after retiring, I moved to the Albuquerque area where I have resided since. Initially I worked as a contractor for approximately 6 years doing cable construction work. That becoming a little dangerous, at an elevated age, I moved into the retail store management environment managing convenience stores for roughly 16 years. With several disabilities, I am now fully retired and am getting more involved with helping Pastor Dewey & Pastor Paul with their operations at FGGAM which pleases my heart greatly as it truly is - "For God's Glory Alone". I met my precious wife Sandy here in Albuquerque and we have been extremely happily married for 18 years and I am the very proud father to Sandy's wonderful children, Tiana, our daughter, Ryan & Ross, our two sons, and proud grandparents to 5 wonderful grandchildren. We attend Christ Full Deliverance Ministries in Rio Rancho which is lead by Pastor's Marty & Paulette Cooper along with Elder Mable Lopez as regular members. Most of my time is now spent split between my family, my church & helping the Pastors by writing here on the FGGAM website and doing everything I can to support this fantastic ministry in the service of our Lord. Praise to GOD & GOD Bless to ALL! UPDATED 2021: Rick and Sandy moved to Florida a few years ago. We adore them and we pray for Rick as he misses Sandy so very, very much!
