(Los Angeles, CA) — Paramount Pictures is denying the Vatican cancelled a meeting between Pope Francis and the director and star of the film “Noah.” The film studio issued the denial after “Variety” reported that the planned audience was cancelled because the Vatican feared negative publicity if news of the meeting leaked. “Noah” director Darren Aronofsky and star Russell Crowe are both in Rome for the Italian premiere of the movie. Crowe has been sending tweets directed toward the Pope asking for a meeting and a chance to screen the movie for him.
