WASHINGTON – Amen for these words and this man! Evangelical leader Dr. James Dobson says America is under God’s judgment for abortion and gay marriage and could soon pass the point of no return.
The host of Family Talk and founder of Focus on the Family made the remarks Wednesday in Washington, on the eve of the National Day of Prayer.
Dobson told men gathered for prayer at the Family Research Council that families are in “terrible condition today” and Christians have lost the battle to stop legalization of same-sex marriage. He added that in the wake of 56 million abortions, “there’s judgment that has fallen on this nation.”
Dobson said this is a time to beg God for forgiveness and a return to righteousness. Otherwise, he said, “I don’t believe America will ever come back from this.”
