New Mexico was getting peppered Sunday with extreme weather on a weekend that already had seen rain, hail and even tornadoes. ….
A stretch of I-25 just north of Las Vegas, was covered in hail Sunday afternoon.
Snowplows were called out on I-25 in the Raton area because of hail on the road.
Authorities in Clovis reported that two tornadoes briefly touched down Friday. Meteorologists say there was a 78 mph wind gust and three-quarters of an inch of rain.

AURORA, Colo. — Several tornadoes touched down as a line of severe thunderstorms swept through Colorado yesterday with one of the twisters hitting near a junior golf tournament and injuring a caddy and causing property damage.
6 of the tornadoes struck in northeast Colorado, while two others hit in Park County in the center of the state. At least three twisters caused damage.
