Picture of my Dad, Wally Moede
Thank you for all the notes that you are praying for Joshua…….
It is wonderful that you respond that you are praying! It is an encouragement to the family and really to all of us!!! AMEN!
In case you missed it, this was our call for urgent prayer on Monday afternoon……..
Dear Friends of our Lord Jesus Christ,
This morning on the Daily CUP I shared with you the passing of Kathy Garcia’s niece, Bernadette, who was 34 years old, she suffered an apparent heart attack. She had a heart attack about a month ago. Kathy has asked for prayer for Bernadette’s 14 year old son, Joshua, who found his Mother dead in the bathroom upon his return from and overnight sleep over. Can you even imagine the trauma this little guy is going through? Kathy would like us to pray that the images of finding his Mother be gone from Joshua’s mind, that he gets rest and sleep. I know the trauma my brother Daryl went through years ago, giving our Dad CPR, and having Dad die, all that is still with Daryl to this day.
Let us come together and pray for Joshua, that the visions of his Mother’s death be gone, that he gets much need rest, Thank YOU Lord for being with Joshua and the whole family during this tough time, we pray Lord for a powerful movement of the Holy Spirit over this young man and family, of peace, strength, and the kind of encouragement that only You can bring! In Jesus name, Amen.
More prayer please……..
Hope all is well. I always come to you and FGGAM for prayer, usually before
anyone else. It’s because I trust you and know your heart is in the right place.
You are walking with The Lord and He is with you. How many people can truly say
that?
Anyhow I have been feeling quite run down and stressed out with work.
Frankly, I feel like I can’t do this job any longer but before I do anything in
my own power I’m asking for prayer for healing and strength and VERY clear
guidance on what I should do with my position and what the next step should be.
I appreciate your help. I would like this to be an ongoing prayer request if
possible.
Thanks much!
Love, Ken
Lord, we come to you to pray for Ken, you know what Ken needs before he asks, we pray for Ken a man who loves you with all his heart. Lord we ask that you show Ken the answer to his prayers, that Ken hears you….We pray for rest for Ken a man who serves many people for You. This man needs rest Lord. We pray for even a brighter light over Ken to bring him peace and strength, in Jesus name, Amen.
Thank you for joining us for prayer time.
God Bless you all.
Once again, thanks for the notes that you are praying for Joshua and the family and for ken!
As Father’s Day comes upon us……..I prepare to Preach in Reserve, NM at the Baptist Church and want to share a bit what I will be Preaching……
I am thankful for the father I have in heaven who awaits me in open arms, I am thankful for my earthly father who raised me up to be a Godly man, he also awaits for me in heaven along with my Mom….I will always remember that one year on Dad’s birthday, Flag Day, he bought me my first brand new bike, up until that time we always had used bikes. But that is the kind of Dad I had, he was always putting others before himself.
He even got one that had “newspaper baskets” on the back so I could put my newspapers in them that I delivered.
I also remember one Sunday when Dad was helping me deliver newspapers, I had almost 100 customers on Sundays, and back them we delivered to the door! I was not feeling good and came to the door, and I still remember this like it was yesterday, I open the screen door to Steve Higley’s house in Windom, Minn, and kind’a threw the paper in the air and with all the Sunday inserts and so on, the paper flew all over the place! UGH!
Dad saw from the car what I had done,. he drove me that day, as I said I was not feeling good, Dad said to me, “Son, when you do a job, you do it right the first time.”
I have carried that with me all my life.
One of the first times I got paid from collecting on my newspaper routes, I had two of them and also mowed lawns, I bought my Dad a fudgesicle at a ball game and he had the biggest smile on his face, that was at a basketball game in Slayton, Minnesota. he had the biggest smile ever!
I have great memories of my growing up! Amen!
My Dad is truly me hero, a man that I will love so much forever and ever and I can’t wait to see him in heaven, him and Mom and all my other loved ones in heaven.
What I learned from my Dad, is one of the main reasons I am in ministry.
I have included a picture of my Dad, Wally Moede, this is one of the last pictures I have of Dad before he died suddenly of a heart attack on Easter Sunday April 19, 1992, the week he retired.
If you do not see the picture of my Dad on your email, the full version of the CUP is at FGGAM.ORG
The picture is of my Dad driving school bus, he loved it so much! One day on KDOM Radio back home the Methodist Preacher doing the days devotion on the radio called my Dad, “God’s angel here on earth to look after His children” Dad was the Windom School’s Transportation Director, back in the day when the school had 30 Bus routes!
Dad was also the towns Assistant Fire Chief for years and years.
He served our Country in WWII, as a SGT. in the United States Marines.
Head Usher at the Church up until his passing.
Always serving others, Jesus like, He came to serve, not to be served.
I have tried to carry that with me all my life, put others before yourself. We used to call that one of the “Golden Rules”.
Be God like, have the mind of Jesus Christ, that was my Dad.
I pray I do better at this.
You see in our Country we are in a “fix”, we have become selfish, too many think of themselves first at what is best for them at all costs to others.
One more story that is going into the book I am writing…there was a a jailbird on the loose in Windom, never heard of that before when I was a youngster, that stuff never happened in Windom! But one day it did and the Sheriff’s Dept. led by Big man Sheriff Jim Ryan was leading the search for this jailbird and they where searching a corn field east of town. The corn had grown to be about 6 feet tall, good crop that year, anyhow Dad came home and he and Mom made sandwiches for all those searching for that man on the loose! Big Jim and his Deputies did get their man! Sheriff Ryan was an awesome Sheriff!
The love of Jesus Christ our Lord must be in our homes. The lessons of Jesus Christ must be taught in or homes.
What brings joy to God?
When your wife feels your hand on her back in the morning as you awake.
When you stop to listen to your wife when you normally shift into high gears of routine.
When you hold you wife in the morning and pray over her, Pastor Paul Holt told me to do that everyday…hold Sharon and Hug her, lay your hands over her and pray for her! It has made a tremendous difference in both our lives! I now do that when i get to see the kids!
When you make your wife coffee before she asks.
When you help your child when they cannot seem to get their backpack pulled together.
When you help your next door neighbor lift something from their car. I am always stunned when people tell me that they do not know their neighbors! God wants you to know your neighbors, so you can show the love of Jesus.
When your coworker, the one you see everyday, needs help, you don’t have the time I know, but you do it anyway.
In Ministry work, I am really focused on the needs of others, but I must not take my main focus off my wife, kids, other family and my friends and neighbors.
If I do not have my home in order, I will not have anything else in order for very long.
This is a true story sent to us my Marcie May…………great message here!
Sad news from yesterday: We lost our apple tree to the wind.
Noah and I had actually worked on it last week because it was invaded by, what we deemed, “Demon weed roots.” After coming home from being out of town, the apple tree’s growth was soooo stunted. We began to dig out other weed trees around it and found noduled weed roots wrapping and embedding themselves into the apple tree. I told him, “Son, come here, we’ve got some amazing pastoral lessons to learn from this.” For 2 days, we talked about the implications of lies left unchecked in our lives and how they affect us, just as these tree demon roots attacked the tree.
Every thing we “plant” in our lives will bear some kind of fruit. We must be diligent to get rid of things that attack what God is really wanting to grow. This tree had been soo overtaken by the weed roots, that its own roots didn’t flourish. When the 40+mph winds came, it was taken out.
Establish a firm root system in the word of God, so that when the winds and rain come, you can stand. Get the junk out, because it not only affects you, but the fruit that feeds others.
That was just some of the main stuff. No wonder Jesus used plants and everyday things to teach principles of the Word of God – it’s rich stuff!
True Story by Marcie May of Albuquerque
God Bless you Marcie.
Stand strong on the word of God, plant your self in His way and word.
Plant yourself in the Lord so that the “demon weed roots” as Marcie states, don’t strangle your life.
For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. 1 Cor. 3:11
He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock. Luke 6:48
For God’s Glory Alone in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ, Dewey, Sharon, Family, and FGGAM Team
Let us keep praying for each other and our families, Amen!
