Two more Israeli soldiers were killed in action during Operation Protective Edge on Monday, bringing the total number of soldiers killed since the ground operation began to 27, with many more wounded. The death toll among Palestinians has exceeded 500 with disputed reports about the number of fighters and civilians in that total. Israel has also reported arresting over 20 terrorist suspects and destroying dozens of tunnels along with hundreds of rockets and launchers. Meanwhile, the IDF confirmed on Tuesday afternoon that Sgt. Oron Shaul, 21, from Poriyah is currently listed as missing in Gaza, whereas he had previously been listed as killed in action.
Meanwhile, dozens of rockets continued to be fired at cities in southern and central Israel into Tuesday morning, with some estimates putting the total number of rockets fired since the beginning of the current round of hostilities at over 2,000. Read More
