From ICEJ News: jjerusalemJerusalem’s Bible Land Museum opened a new exhibit on Thursday displaying a 1,200-year-old Jewish prayer book (siddur), one of the oldest in the world according to scholars. Written in Hebrew and containing sections for the morning service, liturgical poems and the Passover haggadah, the book is believed to have been printed in the Middle East and is still contained in its original binding. Presented to Knesset Speaker Yuli Edelstein by its owner, antiquities collector Steve Green, the book will be on display in Jerusalem for several months before being taken to its permanent home at the Museum of the Bible, currently under construction in Washington DC.
