This story was sent to FGGAM by our Dear friend Sonja Haldeman of Surprise, Arizona. Sonja and her brother, Wes took their Dad, Ralph of Windom, Minnesota to the Memorial awhile back. My dad, Wally Moede served our Country in WW II with six of his brothers. My Dad was a Sgt. in the Marines. Here is the heart warming story that Sonja sent us from azcentral: I didn’t think anyone still remembered World War II,” Bill said as we rolled through the airport in Baltimore, bracketed by travelers cheering, applauding and offering heartfelt thanks to the men and women who saved the free world.
“Looks like they do, Bill,” I told him. “Looks like they do.”
