I was so saddened this morning to see news about a Baby put up on Craigslist for Adoption, I could not believe such a thing, I told Sharon is that possible? Is this what we have become as a society? Then the news about a women being beaten in Albuquerque and then thrown off a bridge? Oh My Lord, forgive us of our sins. In the meantime, wildfires continue to rage on here in New Mexico, we have them covered here at FGGAM. I am sadden as we talked on our radio program this week that we have heard not one Leader in New Mexico call for prayer for rain……….Is this what we have become?
We are praying for God’s healing rains to come to New Mexico, but we must repent of our sins, we seek the face of God. Most of the leadership in New Mexico does not want to talk about God. It is all about God and seeking Him and His ways, not our ways, not our words, but HIS, for He is GOD.
When we do, then it will rain.
Here is how KOB TV Reported on the Baby and Craig List……….
An ad that appeared on Albuquerque’s Craigslist page showed a child up for adoption. KOB Eyewitness News 4 wants to know if this is legal?
It appears to be an act of desperation. “Surprised, you know, worried about what would make somebody go to Craigslist to do that instead of going through some other agency,” said Annamaria Luna with the Children, Youth and Families Department.
The user mentions a list of requirements for those who want to adopt, but the ad has since been taken down after being flagged by Craigslist users. After 20 years working for New Mexico’s protective services department, Luna said this is the most bizarre thing she’s ever seen.
“People leave them. They do other kinds of things. I’ve never seen anyone post anything,” Luna said.
And a posting like this can be criminal too.
Instead of going on websites like Craigslist to offer your child up for adoption, there are websites that offer a list of safe adoption sites in New Mexico.
Luna said working with these agencies is the only legal and safe way to go through an adoption.
KOB checked with Albuquerque Police and the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office and both agencies will see if the posting is legitimate. They will also investigate whether a child is really in danger.
Women Thrown off Bridge as reported by KOB TV……..
Chopper 4 flew overhead as a man was arrested in northeast Albuquerque Tuesday.
Police said 26-year-old Martin Montano kidnapped two people, stuffed them in the trunk of his car and then threw one of them into the Rio Grande.
It all began Tuesday morning at a northeast Albuquerque apartment. Witnesses said Montano put two people in his trunk. Police said he then drove to the bridge on Central and Tingley and threw one woman into the Rio Grande.
Police told KOB Eyewitness News 4 witnesses who saw it all happen really helped them find Montano.
A dramatic scene on one of Albuquerque’s busiest bridges as a woman was thrown into the Rio Grande.
“Just looking at it you can see that the fall alone could have been fatal. These people were very close to losing their lives,” said APD Officer Tasia Martinez.
After Chopper 4 flew over the bridge, KOB flew to Comanche and Carlisle after hearing the suspect was there. Police believe he pushed the woman into the river. Police said Montano kidnapped another man and he was found on top of the bridge. Both victims suffered severe injuries but are recovering at an Albuquerque hospital.
Police don’t know how Montano knew the victims but they do believe they three were acquaintances.
Police said one thing’s for sure, witnesses played a big role leading them to Montano.
“Again, we cannot relay how important it was that we had vigilant citizens, vigilant neighbors who heard something out of the ordinary and took it upon themselves to notify police,” Martinez said.
Police expect to file charges soon.
Let us pray for the State of New Mexico this day and all days.
The same book that tells us over and over again of God’s love warns us constantly of the devil who would come between us and God, the devil who is ever waiting to ensnare men’s souls.
The devil is the god of this world we live in and he has blinded many.
Not a popular thing to Preach in these days, most want to hear what tickles their ears, but we here at FGGAM will always put forth the Truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
