As we have said this is all a joke, it’s a part of the Obama/Kerry circus of foolery: The extension of nuclear talks between Iran and the P5+1 powers (US, UK, France, Russia, China and Germany) was hailed by Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who tweeted that “arrogant” world powers had tried and failed to bring the Islamic Republic to its knees. Iranian President Hassan Rouhani gave an interview with state TV in which he gave a milder commentary on events, saying “During the talks in Vienna many gaps were narrowed and our positions with the other side got closer.” Western diplomats also spoke of progress during the talks but conceded that the talks couldn’t go on indefinitely without producing an agreement and noted that substantial differences still remained to be sorted out. “We would be fools to walk away from a situation where the breakout times have been expanded,” US Secretary of State John Kerry told reporters in Vienna, adding that “it makes absolute sense to continue to talk.” Read More
