The ongoing crisis in Israel’s governing coalition reached another threshold on Monday when it was announced that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu would meet with finance minister and Yesh Atid leader Yair Lapid. The meeting is meant to come to an agreement and avoid early elections, which nearly everyone agrees would be bad for the country.
